Q. Can I purchase the MP165 in stages?
A. Yes, the CAIS used in the MP165 is available to purchase from our PRO dealers and the Mountune store (www.mountunestore.com), as is the cat-back exhaust. The next jump would be for the remaining exhaust parts and the calibration.
Q. Will the MP165 pass an MOT?
A. Yes, the MP165 has been designed to meet the emission standards required for the UK MOT and as of the kit's launch in 2008 it passed this requirement.
Q. I've already got an exhaust and air filter - can I just get the calibration?
A. No. The MP165 calibration can only be used with the Mountune exhaust and CAIS. Any other brand of exhaust will use a different size bore, type and configuration of resonators to Mountune's design and the CAIS must also be used to ensure the calibration is robust to the hardware set. The manifold and sports catalyst are not available on their own so there's no reason that the calibration will ever need to be supplied on its own.

A. Yes, the CAIS used in the MP185 is available to purchase from our PRO dealers and the Mountune store (www.mountunestore.com), as is the cat-back exhaust. The MP185 is also available to upgrade from MP165 and just requires the addition of the cam shafts, valve springs / retainers and a new calibration.

A. Yes, the MP185 has been designed to meet the emission standards required for the UK MOT and as of the kit's launch in 2008 it passed this requirement.

A. No. The MP185 calibration can only be used with the Mountune exhaust and CAIS. Any other brand of exhaust will use a different size bore, type and configuration of resonators to Mountune's design and the CAIS must also be used to ensure the calibration is robust to the hardware set. The profile of cams used in this kit is also unique to Mountune so if you have non-Mountune cam profiles you'll not be able to update to the MP185 calibration.

A. Yes, the CAIS and cat-back used in the MR200 is available to purchase from our PRO dealers and the Mountune store (www.mountunestore.com). The MR200 can also be upgraded to from MP165 or MP185 in one, or two stages.
Q. Will the MR200 pass an MOT?
A. Yes, the MR200 has been designed to meet the emission standards required for the UK MOT and as of the kit's launch in 2011 it passed this requirement.
Q. Does the MR200 follow the same service schedule as if it was standard?
A. Yes. It follows the same Ford service schedule as a standard car - with the exception of the air filter, which does not need to be changed as per the Ford service interval. As the revs are raised higher than with the MP185 upgrade, we suggest checking the engine oil level every 500 miles.
