When it comes to the design and development of race engines and their associated components mountune can provide a one-stop solution to our customers from from start to finish-line.
Extensive on-site CAD and modelling facilities combined with a bank of dedicated engine test and development dyno cells gives us the edge in producing individual components right through to the most powerful engines on the grid - it's something we excel at!

Mountune can offer engine design services from basic components up to a complete engine design.
The GRE (Global Race Engine) showcases our full capability. This engine was commissioned by Ford MotorCompany LTD. and taken to a full detail design level with major components manufactured. All work is undertaken in CAD with file compatibility with OE systems.
Other recent design work has been the FIA F2 engine for Palmersport /Williams, GT3 engine for Jaguar, Ford Fiesta Super 2000 rally engine for Britek/Ford Australia and V6 engines for Kia in the Belgian Touring Car Series

Mountune/Revolve have five dyno test cells. The 'road' cells meet exacting OE standards for petrol and diesel road car test work.
The 'race' cells can handle up to 1000bhp and 11,000rpm, and this is where the hard work of engine development takes place with many hours of testing inlets, cams and exhausts. Predictive analysis can only get us part of the way and we find little good substitute for actual testing.
We are Pectel engine management dealers and work closely with them on new projects. The Pectel HQ is only 40 minutes from Mountune. We can also can handle most other systems.
Initial prediction work and inlet development is done on the SuperFlo bench. Detail cam design is undertaken by specialists to Mountune specifications.

The Mountune engine build team have been with us for many years and have built up a huge wealth of information and experience. All this goes into each Mountune engine - It's one man one engine in the main, from initial inspection and parts selection through to final prep for delivery.
The only time it's out of the builder's hands is during the dyno test phase where each engine is run and power tested to ensure it's ready to compete once installed in the car.

Our parts department is available for customers undertaking their own engine builds and are able to supply specific special engine components and technical assistance.
In addition, mountune and our parent company Revolve Technologies Ltd are Ford Component Sales Dealers and are able to supply customers with Ford standard components and complete engines.

With increasing amounts of complex electronics on both the engine and gearshift, Mountune engineers and technicians are available to support customers world-wide at their location or event.
It can be an installation check, first 'in chassis' run, or full championship support. Mountune engineers are busy most weekends in support of our customers in the pits or service area.
