FordFair 2012 "Big Success" for Mountune

Mountune's take on the 2012 FordFair at Silverstone could be described in just one word; "Busy!"

In the midst of almost 20,000 Ford fans, the 2012 headline sponsor's stand stood out for all the right reasons; Having Ford WTCC driver James Nash piloting a bright yellow Mountune Focus RS TAXI, a host of impressive cars, new products and the lovely Viv and Brandy on hand also didn't seem to hurt...

Fordfair's always a great opportunity for Mountune to engage with customers face-to-face and that, combined with the usual on-the-day special offers meant the inside displays were wall-to-wall until later afternoon.

New products launched exclusively at the show included a billet short-shift arm for IB5 gearboxes (Fiesta mk6/mk7 and many more), a mk6 Fiesta PAS cooler and the release of two new performance kits; Focus MP200 and the mk7 Fiesta TDCi MRD270 upgrade.

There was also a first opportunity to see the forthcoming Mountune big brake kit for the mk7 Fiesta (mk6 to follow shortly) which were fitted to a MRD270 Fiesta with all the Mountune bells and whistles. Big brake kits are due in stock by mid-September, so for anyone interested, keep an eye on the website.

It wasn't all about new products, talking and grabbing a bargain though. The Mountune team were also giving plenty back with Rockstar energy drinks powering hundreds of showgoers, goody bags and of course, the chance to win passenger rides with Ford's World Touring Car driver, James Nash.

It's fair to say that the guys and girls fortunate to be plucked at random by Viv and Brandy more than enjoyed their "hot laps".

A big thank you must go to JTR for supporting with their Mountune-powered championship leading Formula Ford, TeamAON for the loan of the WTC and for everyone else involved in putting on FordFair 2012 with us... look out for the feature in FastFord magazine, soon!
